Turning Off Google Chrome Browser Updates

The following instructions work for both OSX and Windows

1. Open Chrome and enter “chrome://plugins” in the address bar
2. Find the ‘Google Update’ plugin and click ‘Disable’
3. Restart your Chrome browser and the changes will be saved
